Retal is the next generation of urban real estate developers to emerge from the Kingdom, recently winning ‘Developer of the Year’ award in 2021 for Real Estate Asia.
Having been immersed in projects across the Middle East for over two decades, LDPi announced a new business Joint with Retal Urban Developers in 2023 and have since opened a Studio in Al-Khobar, Eastern Province.
The Retal Headquarters building in Riyadh sets a precedence for the urban vision that Retal have for the growth of Real Estate across Saudi Arabia. The project was a collaborative one as LDPi worked closely with the architects and interior designers to create a dynamic and contemporary lighting scheme from external to internal.
The glass facade which spans across all floors is the main vantage point for the interior of the building. Therefore, the primary focus was to create a strong interior lighting scheme which would be recognisable from the outside-in. Using a combination of functional and aesthetic lighting, we were able to add a sense of luxury and individuality to both the office and communal areas.
The material and furniture selection were also enhanced with the use of indirect lighting and decorative chandeliers; all of which were programmed for sinuous control and adaptability.
The overall contemporary vision for the project was delivered across all design disciplines and has in-turn created a state-of-the-art workplace.
