Arlington St. Residential

Formerly the Prime Minister’s residence, this impressive three-story private residence has featured extensively in UK media and remains a significant architectural development.

LDPi worked closely with the Client to create a unique residence associating luxury and richness within its interior. The lighting approach was to provide individuality and exclusivity through bespoke chandeliers and architectural details.

The lighting to each space was considered for its function, fit-out and materiality to ensure visual comfort. At basement level the cinema room features a fibre optic ceiling with an undulating crystal ceiling with integrated lighting located at the adjacent bar. Throughout the living areas and bedrooms, bespoke chandeliers and ceiling details respond to adjacent materiality; with custom finish downlights illuminating artwork to drapery.

A 15 metre Swarovski chandelier was designed to the helical staircase to prevent visibility of source at eye level and to create a strong visual focus upon entry.

A collaborative project with world class bespoke manufacturers and client vision.
