LDPi prepared the site-wide external lighting proposals for this mixed-use development in Edinburgh as a masterplan for the 5no. office and hotel building complex in this key city centre site. Façade illumination at high level was purposely restricted to accent touches of detail that are integrated within the buildings’ architectural fabric.

Bespoke decorative luminaire pendants form a catenary lighting system span between building facades at 1st floor levels and provide a visual roof capping over the urban space. The language of the decorative catenary pendants with bespoke decorative totems located at the main gateway entrances echo the power-line electrical insulators as a reference of the site’s previous railway context.

LDPi have also prepared lighting proposals for the interior front of house areas pertaining to the signature corner-site office building where working with the Architects, LDPi have developed an integrated lighting solution for the main Atrium and Lobby areas and feature glass stairways.
