This incredibly crafted private residence was designed by Morphogenesis Architects to revive and re-establish a patronage for Indian artisanal skills. LDPi utilised minimal, integrated lighting techniques to unravel Morphogenesis Architect’s experiential sequencing of spaces.
This project accommodates a traditional Indian family, traditional living principles and traditional craft and materials, but at the same time it was conceived as an extremely contemporary and modern house. LDPi utilised indirect lighting techniques to create a softly illuminated backdrop of materiality.
Limited insertions of bespoke decorative luminaires were considered and developed with the Client and Architects utilising traditional materials and finishes with a contemporary interpretation. LDPi achieved balance throughout the project, allowing functionality of usage coupled with delicately integrated accent lighting.
